Culantro
Cilantro (Culantro)
is actually the leaves (and stems) of the Coriander plant. This native
spice is a basic ingredient in any kitchen and almost all of the plant is used.
The leaves, known for a distinctive but subtle anise flavor, are used in soups,
salads, meat stews, fish and poultry. It's seeds are the basis of most Hindu
dishes as well as pickling and chutneys.
